Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers and Scientists through Hands-on Learning and Exploration
The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers educational summer science adventures for kids at the Houston Museum of Natural Science Sugar Land! Your child will have fun exploring science in a variety of ways through one of our action-packed summer science camp experiences.

In 2024, we are offering our new Exhibit Designers Camp, our very popular dinosaur camp Junior Paleontologist, the robotics camps Lego Robotics, the insect camp Creepy Crawlies, and returning favorites Minecraft Mania: Coding Adventure Camp, Wizard Science Academy, Build it Big, and Booms and Blastoffs. Also, in Sugar Land we have the exciting chemistry camps Art Smart and Junior Science Magic, physics camp Design and Destroy, space camps Space Cadet and Senior Space Commanders, and forensic camp Crime Scene Investigators, and much more.

Summer Camp Overview

HMNS Summer Camps at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land are week-long, hands-on educational experiences for kids ages 6 – 12.

Summer Camps at HMNS Sugar Land will be held weekly during the following periods:

  • May 28-31, 2024
  • June 10-14, 2024
  • June 17-18 and 20-21, 2024
  • July 1-3, 2024
  • July 8-12, 2024
  • July 22-26, 2024
  • July 29-August 2, 2024

Location

Summer Camps at HMNS in Sugar Land are held at Houston Museum of Natural Science Sugar Land, 13016 University Blvd., Sugar Land, TX 77479.

Camp Information

Camps are held Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Extended day before and after camp is available for an additional fee.

Before Camp: 8 -10 a.m.

After Camp: 3 – 5:30 p.m.

Lunch

Campers will have a supervised lunch hour at the Sugar Land museum. Campers will watch an educational video during the lunch hour.

Campers may bring a sack lunch from home.
