Hall of Technology

The Hall of Technology is a celebration of the museum’s 10th anniversary of operation. This immersive exhibit offers visitors a glimpse into four distinct areas of scientific interest: Chemistry, Energy, Geology, and Salt. Each of these topics is intricately intertwined, showcasing the interconnectedness of scientific disciplines.

As visitors explore the hall, they will encounter highly interactive exhibits that provide a basic introduction to each topic while highlighting their relevance and application in the present day. Salt serves as the unifying theme throughout the exhibits in the Hall of Technology. This choice was inspired by the close proximity of salt domes to the museum, with one located less than a mile to the east in the Avalon neighborhood. By incorporating this local “Texas tie,” the exhibit reinforces the belief that wonder sparks learning and exploration throughout a lifetime.
